Does anything feel on a new rifle they really need to crank back that bolt as I keep getting misfires and then have to pull back the bolt pin and get out the mag so as not to push 2 pellets home.
I really happy with my new rifle so this is playing on my mind...at 25 yeards it's pin point accurate but these 1 in 10 misfires are playing on my mind.

Sounds like the trigger sears not catching, adjust the trigger and that should probably do it.
It's like I'm sure I've pulled it back to the notch then place myself, get that respiratory pause again, get my crosshairs still on the bull, pull the trigger and nothing so have to re-cock it (never the best situation) to get mag out or the bolt pin will push another second pellet into the barrel.
Other than that I'm normally an Italian wooden stock snob but this 'package' PCP in the GX40 is tactically nice, I now love the matt black tactical pistol trigger feel and certainly do not class it as a starter rifle as I've shot BSA and Air Arms PCP's and this is as accurate. I chose the Vector Optics Hugo 4-16x44GT scope which is lovely as well, getting new mounts for it and need to adjust the eye relief.
Thanks for reply

My Walther RM8 bolt was a bit notchy and stiff, I just used a bit of gun cleaning oil on it and it made it a lot smoother.
