Christmas Opening Hours, Cut Off Dates and Other Festive Realities

It is that magical time of year when everyone suddenly remembers they needed to order things weeks ago. To save everyone some stress, disappointment and creative shouting at couriers, here are our Christmas opening hours and delivery cut-off dates in plain English.

13 December: Gun Home Delivery Cut Off

Yes, this is today

13 December is the cut-off for gun home delivery. That includes rifles, silencers and other VCRA-restricted items. Not sure what classes as a VCRA-restricted item? Click here

Important reality check:

Gun and other VCRA-restricted deliveries are handled on a case-by-case basis. Orders placed after this date may not arrive before Christmas. Couriers do not suddenly become more accurate in December. Quite the opposite.

If you need a gun, silencer or any other VCRA restricted item, select Click and Collect at checkout and collect in store. Do not rely on delivery times. Especially, do not rely on RFD transfers. There is absolutely no guarantee the receiving shop will even be open to accept the transfer.

17 December: Last Day of Pre-Christmas Shipping

17 December is the last day we will ship orders before Christmas.

This is not a guarantee of pre-Christmas delivery. It is simply the best chance you have. No promises. No crossed fingers. No courier fairy dust.

Delivery of non-VCRA items on this final shipping day depends on customers confirming their address and providing proof of age for age-restricted items. If that is missing, the parcel is not moving.

Orders placed after 17 December are very unlikely to arrive before Christmas.

Normal Opening Hours Until 23 December

Between now and 23 December, we are open during our usual hours:

9:30am to 4:30pm - Tuesday to Saturday

No surprises here, even though a few of you try to turn up at 4:30pm demanding we stay open for a chat, only to buy a tin of pellets...

Closed 24 December to 2 January

Yes, actually closed

From 24 December through to 2 January, we are closed.

Do not turn up.

We will not let you in.

The lights may be off.

That is your clue.

Christmas Period Orders and Contact

We will be operating on skeleton staff during the Christmas period to process orders. Things will move more slowly than usual. Emails may take longer. Phone calls may take longer. This is normal and expected.

Please be patient. Chaos resumes in 2026.
