Now Trialling a Cheaper Local Delivery — Because Sometimes, You Just Can’t Be Bothered to Visit the Shop

Let’s be honest—whether you don’t drive, can’t get to us, or simply can’t be arsed, there are plenty of reasons why visiting a gun shop in person isn’t always ideal. That’s why we’re trialling something new: a local delivery service for VCRA-restricted goods like airguns and silencers, which are available to select areas around our store.

Now, if you're here thinking,

"Wait, I thought they already do home delivery, does this mean they are lowering the delivery area size?"

Stop jumping to conclusions and read on...

What’s the Deal?

This new Local Delivery option runs alongside our existing Home Delivery via private courier, which already covers large parts of England and Wales. The idea here is simple: if you're within driving range of one of our team members (and yes, we mean a real human from Vector Air), we might be able to drop your order off ourselves—for a lower cost than our usual courier service.

It’s ideal for:

• People who don’t drive

• People who do drive but would rather not

• Anyone who just wants their airgun or silencer delivered without the usual faff

How Does It Work?

If you're inside our local delivery trial area, you’ll see the delivery option:

“Local Delivery Inside Delivery Area of VCRA Restricted Goods (Airgun & Silencer)”during checkout when ordering qualifying items.

This service is carried out by our own staff—not third-party couriers—so we’re keeping a close eye on how viable it is. We need to factor in:

• Staff time and availability

• Fuel and insurance costs

• The small detail that several team members are currently mid-house move (yes, multiple!)

All of this means that the delivery zone could expand, shift, or be scrapped entirely, depending on how things go. So if it’s available to you now—use it while it lasts.

What If You're Outside the Trial Area?

You’re not out of luck. You might still qualify for our regular Private Courier Home Delivery, which also covers airguns and VCRA items. You’ll see this option at checkout as:

“Home Delivery Inside Delivery Area of VCRA Restricted Goods (Airgun & Silencer) Via Private Courier”

If neither local nor private courier delivery is available for your postcode, your options are:

• Delivery to Your Local RFD — We’ll ship your order to a Registered Firearms Dealer near you. (Check with them first; RFD fees may apply.)

• Collect in Store — Come see us in person and enjoy the full Vector Air cabaret while you’re at it.

TL;DR:

• We’re trialling local delivery to select areas near the shop.

• It’s cheaper than our regular courier and is done by our own team.

• Availability depends on your postcode and our team’s current state of chaos.

• If available, you’ll see the local delivery option at checkout.

• It may be changed or vanish entirely...
