Vector Air Named Top 10 Global Partner for Vector Optics

We’re thrilled to announce that Vector Air has been named one of the top 10 partners worldwide for Vector Optics. It’s a huge honour, and a nod to the close relationship we’ve built with Vector Optics over the years.

While our name is just a happy coincidence, we are the main importer, supplier, and retailer for Vector Optics products in the UK, and we work hand-in-hand with them to drive the market. Our massive network of reviewers and shooters helps us test upcoming products in real-world conditions, giving Vector Optics valuable feedback straight from the field.

A Name That Hits the Mark

Vector Air wasn’t named with Vector Optics in mind. It was the brainchild of our head of digital, Luke. With a BA in Digital Media and a prominent member of Nottingham Creatives, The Creative Digital Media Group, as well as having his own studio, FireStudios. Luke wanted a name that was modern, memorable, and different from the usual location or family-name-based airgun retailers.

“Vector is a physical quantity with both magnitude and direction,” he explained. “Sounds a lot like a projectile, right? Add in the Air for airguns and airsoft, and you get Vector Air.”

Coincidence or not, the name stuck—and clearly worked in our favour.

From Humble Beginnings to Vector Optics Partner

When we opened to the public in 2020, the first scopes we stocked were actually Hawke and Konus. Less than a year later, Francisco from Wolfiek, the Spanish airgun retail giant, approached us to bring Vector Optics to Europe. At the time, we were just three employees, and no safety net, but we took the leap and became the primary UK importer.

Today, Vector Optics and its subsidiary brands—VictOptics, Rokstad, VeWar, Gunpany, and Owlset—are among our most successful products, both in retail and through our trade arm, OnTarget Distribution.

Founded in 2007, Vector Optics focuses on designing, manufacturing, and distributing premium optics and innovative sighting systems for hunting, defence, sport, and competition.
