TAIPAN Slash 1/2" UNF Silencer Adapter

£80.00Price

Out of Stock

The TAIPAN Slash is already a well-moderated platform, but for FAC users wanting even more suppression, this adapter opens up that option. It replaces the factory front cap on the Slash’s existing moderator and provides a standard 1/2" UNF thread, allowing the use of third-party silencers.

Key Features

  • Converts factory moderator to accept 1/2" UNF silencers
  • Direct replacement for the original front cap
  • Simple installation with no permanent modification required
  • Expands compatibility with a wide range of aftermarket moderators

Performance / Use Case

This is aimed at users looking to push sound reduction further than the already quiet factory setup. On FAC-rated rifles, where power levels are higher, adding a secondary moderator can make a noticeable difference.

That said, this isn’t a guaranteed “quieter no matter what” upgrade. Setup matters, and results will vary depending on calibre, power level, and the silencer used.

Build & Design

The adapter is designed specifically for the TAIPAN Slash platform, replacing the existing front cap cleanly and maintaining the overall alignment of the system. Once fitted, it provides a standard 1/2" UNF thread, which is the most common format for airgun silencers.

Important Notes

  • Use of third-party silencers can introduce pellet clipping, particularly in 5.5mm (.22) and larger calibres
  • This is more likely on sub-16 Joule variants, where the pellet may already be on a slight downward trajectory as it exits the barrel and passes through two moderators
  • If clipping occurs, consider:
    • Using a silencer with a larger bore diameter
    • Switching to a shorter silencer to reduce the chance of contact
