Compact, Convenient, and Hassle-Free Airgun Velocity Testing

The AirForceOne Muzzle-Mount Chronograph is the perfect solution for airgunners who want a straightforward, no-fuss way to measure pellet velocity, shot-to-shot consistency, and even check legal power compliance for sub-12 ft/lb airguns. Designed to mount directly to the industry-standard ½” UNF muzzle thread, this chronograph eliminates the need for additional gadgets or apps, making it ideal for those who prefer a more traditional, no-tech approach.

Key Features

  • Muzzle-Mount Design: Attaches securely to your airgun's ½” UNF-threaded muzzle, avoiding alignment issues and protecting the sensors from damage caused by misaligned shots.
  • Standalone Functionality: No need for a smartphone or app—basic readouts are right there on the device.
  • Wireless Connectivity: Pairs with a free iOS or Android app for enhanced functionality, including data tracking and analysis.
  • Compact & Lightweight: Built from durable aluminium, it’s easy to carry and won’t interfere with your setup.
  • Infrared Sensors for All Conditions: Operates reliably in any weather or lighting condition, indoors or outdoors.
  • Integrated LCD Screen: Backlit and easy to read, providing instant measurements in either imperial (fps, ft/lbs) or metric (mps, joules).
  • Rechargeable Li-Ion Battery: Simple USB-C charging ensures the device is ready whenever you are.
  • Programmable for Pellet Weight: Input pellet weight in grains or grams to calculate power output.
  • Memory Storage: Save and review up to 100 shots, allowing you to track trends and performance over time.
  • Wide Compatibility: Suitable for PCP, spring, CO2, and BB airguns in calibres ranging from .177 to .25, as well as 6mm airsoft and gel blasters.

Performance Highlights

With a velocity range of up to 3,280fps (1,000mps), the Muzzle-Mount Chronograph is versatile enough for a wide variety of airgun types and calibres. Its practical design allows for reliable FPS/MPS tracking and shot-to-shot consistency, helping you identify potential performance issues such as regulator wear or maintenance needs.

Why Choose the AirForceOne Muzzle-Mount Chronograph?

Unlike many other chronographs on the market, the AirForceOne Muzzle-Mount Chronograph operates as a standalone device, making it ideal for those who want to avoid fiddling with apps or smartphones. Its compact, easy-to-use design makes it an excellent choice for shooters who value simplicity and reliability. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting out, this chronograph provides an effective way to monitor your airgun’s performance without unnecessary complications.

Please Note

This chronograph is designed primarily to monitor FPS/MPS variance and shot consistency rather than providing absolute forensic-grade precision. Readings may vary by 1–4% compared to calibrated chronographs. Users can adjust the "Scale" setting in the device menu to align results with certified equipment if needed.

    AirForceOne Muzzle Mount Tacho

The tacho arrived promptly and I have now used this to measure muzzle velocity for a number of pellet types. The instruction manual suggests that you can download the optional phone app for android from the play store but I could not find. I contacted Vector Air and they sent me the link. The phone app seems to lose connection but does get the data although at one time displayed the same reading twice. I do not have a means of cross checking the values but they were around those expected.

Hi Martin, glad to hear the chronograph’s working out for you! Yeah, we’re not sure why the manual points users to an app that won’t install either — we’ve since added a more reliable link in the product description to save others the same hassle.

As for accuracy, you’re spot on. It’s not going to match a certified forensic chrono, but for portability and checking shot consistency at home or the range, it does the job well. If you're chasing more precise results, we've found that adjusting the scale to about 97% brings it closer to SKAN readings. But for general tuning and pellet comparisons, it’s a great tool.
