NateChrony Extreme Ballistic Free Standing Light Gate Chronograph
£180.00
Serious accuracy. Serious data. Zero guesswork.
The NateChrony Extreme Ballistic is Nate’s first fully standalone chronograph, designed from the ground up specifically for shooters who care about real data, not vague averages. It delivers the same class-leading accuracy found across the NateChrony range, now packaged into a compact, lightweight, and genuinely tough unit that works across almost every shooting discipline.
Whether you’re chronoing an air rifle, CO2 pistol, airsoft, or full-power firearms, the Extreme Ballistic handles it without drama. The infrared light gate sensor is completely unaffected by fluorescent or LED lighting, making it just as reliable indoors as it is on the range.
Built for real ballistic testing
This is not just a velocity checker. Thanks to its integrated environmental sensor, the Extreme Ballistic measures pressure and humidity alongside shot data, allowing for far more meaningful results. When paired with a second Extreme Ballistic unit or NateChrony SteadyShot, it can be placed downrange to calculate ballistic coefficient data, making it a powerful tool for serious load development and testing.
Using built-in Wi-Fi connectivity, results are streamed directly to your phone, tablet, or PC through a web browser. No apps. No internet connection. No walking downrange every few shots. Tested Wi-Fi range exceeds 100 m, so you can stay exactly where you want to be.
Certified accuracy
Accuracy is live-shot calibrated against NateChrony master chronographs, delivering less than 1 fps deviation at 1,000 fps, with 0.1 fps resolution. It handles high rates of fire comfortably, from slow precision shooting all the way up to extremely high cyclic testing.
The unit is compact, weighs just 500 g, and can be disassembled for transport or storage. It mounts to a standard tripod and includes additional side mounting tabs for flexible positioning.
This is a technical chronograph, built for users who want control, flexibility, and deep data access. If you enjoy tweaking, testing, and understanding your setup properly, this will make you very happy.
Important usage note
The unit must be placed in full shade when used outdoors to ensure correct operation. This is normal for high-precision infrared light gate systems and is not a fault or limitation of the device.

Important Information About 3D Printed Products
Why 3D Printing?
3D printing offers several key advantages, making it an excellent choice for creating innovative, functional products:
- Speed: Products can be produced quickly and efficiently, allowing for rapid prototyping and faster delivery.
- Lightweight Design: 3D printing uses less material, resulting in lighter components while maintaining functionality.
- Additive Manufacturing: This method allows for complex features and designs that traditional subtractive manufacturing cannot achieve, enabling more flexibility in product development.
Important Considerations
While 3D printed parts come with many benefits, they are typically more fragile than their traditionally manufactured counterparts. This means the product requires mechanical sympathy—careful handling and use. These parts are not expected to last as long as non-3D printed components, so it’s important to treat them with care.
Warranty Information
Warranty on 3D printed products is limited and depends on how well the part is maintained. To extend the life of your product, we recommend:
- Safe Handling: Avoid excessive force or impact.
- Protection from Moisture: Keep the product dry to prevent damage.
- Avoid High Temperatures: Prolonged exposure to heat can weaken the material.
- Limit UV Exposure: Avoid long periods of direct sunlight, as UV rays can degrade the material.
By following these guidelines, you can prolong the life of your 3D-printed product and enjoy its unique benefits!
