£15 off VO Mounts w/ Vector Optics Scope Purchase

Built for serious precision shooters

The Vector Optics Tauron Competition 5–50×60 is a true long-range optic designed for shooters who want extreme magnification, precise adjustments and a reticle system built around metric MRAD calculations. This is not a casual plinking scope. It’s a specialist optic intended for shooters who understand dialling, holdovers and long-range ballistic work.

With a 5–50× magnification range and 60mm objective lens, the Tauron Competition provides the clarity and magnification needed for disciplines such as Field Target, F-Class, benchrest and precision long-range shooting.

For PCP air rifle users pushing distance; pairing this scope with adjustable or droop-compensating mounts is strongly recommended to fully utilise the scope’s elevation range.

Precision-focused turret system

The Tauron Competition uses a 34mm main tube combined with ultra-fine 0.05 MIL click adjustments, allowing extremely precise elevation corrections. Total elevation adjustment reaches 23 MIL, providing substantial dialling capability when combined with angled or adjustable scope mounts.

The elevation turret incorporates:

  • Zero Stop

  • Turret Lock

  • Revolution Indicator

Windage adjustments are also locking, preventing accidental movement once your zero is set.

High-grade optics with Japanese ED glass

Optical performance is driven by Japanese ED glass, which reduces chromatic aberration and maintains sharpness even at high magnification. Combined with fully multi-coated LaREE HD lenses, the system achieves up to 92% light transmission, producing bright, high-contrast images with excellent colour fidelity.

Even at the upper magnification range, the image remains clear enough for precise target work.

VCO-5 MIL reticle for precise calculations

The Tauron Competition features the Vector Optics VCO-5 MIL reticle, designed specifically for precision shooters who rely on accurate ranging and holdover measurements.

The reticle includes:

  • A floating illuminated 0.01 MIL centre dot for extremely precise aiming

  • A 0.5 MIL circular space around the centre for improved target visibility

  • An inverted “T” MIL-ranging scale for range estimation and holdover calculations

Because the scope uses a Second Focal Plane (SFP) design, the reticle subtensions are correct at 40× magnification.

Illumination is provided via 6 red brightness settings, allowing the centre dot to remain visible without overwhelming the target.

Built for demanding use

The Tauron Competition is constructed from 6061-T6 aluminium alloy, providing strength without excessive weight. It is nitrogen-filled and sealed to an IP67 waterproof rating, protecting it from dust, rain and temporary immersion.

With a 1000G shockproof rating, the optic is designed to handle heavy recoil environments, ensuring the internal system remains stable and repeatable.

A stepless side-focus system allows parallax adjustment from 10 metres to infinity, making it suitable for everything from close-range precision work to extreme distance shooting.

Scope Mounts Not Included - Read Before Buying

Not all scopes come with mounts – and that includes many Vector Optics models. Why? Because there’s no such thing as a “one-size-fits-all all” mount. Barrel diameter, rail type, and clearance all matter. That’s why we ask you to choose your mounts when adding a Vector Optics scope to your cart.

Get £15 Off Vector Optics Mounts
When you buy a scope and matching mounts together, we’ll knock £15 off your Vector Optics mount – because good glass deserves the right hardware.

Choose Your Rail Type:

A Few Things You Really Need to Know:

  • We can advise, but you are ultimately responsible for choosing the right mounts.
  • If in doubt, go for high mounts – they’ll generally give you more breathing room and avoid contact with the barrel or shroud.

  • 95% of scope issues we see are down to poor mounting, not the scope itself. Wobbly zero? Misalignment? That’s on the mounts.

You wouldn’t bolt a car engine in with guesswork – don’t do it with optics either.

Didn’t Select Mounts?
If you don’t pick mounts, we’ll chuck in a basic pair – but they may not fit your setup, and we’re not responsible if they don’t. This is a polite (ish) reminder that reading the above and selecting your mounts is very much part of the process.

In short: read, choose, and mount properly. Or accept the consequences – and don’t say we didn’t warn you.
