November Staff Picks, Featuring Chaos, Panic and Questionable Life Choices

Yes we are a bit late with this month’s Staff Picks. You can blame our biggest ever sale, the Black Friday and Pay Day Deals Week of Sales, which has basically turned the shop into a theme park where all the rides are made of paperwork. Combine that with the launch of the best-selling rifle we have ever carried, the AP900, and you get an office held together with hope, caffeine and increasingly unstable staff members.
Tee has started referring to herself in the third person. Craig is rocking gently in a corner. Karl and Luke have somehow lost more hair, which we did not think was scientifically possible. And nobody can find Julie. But here we are, finally ready to pick up the pieces of a feature we abandoned two days ago because everything spontaneously caught fire.
Each month, our team picks a product they would spend their own hard-earned money on. Old favourites, new releases, cult classics, strange curveballs, anything goes. The only prize is bragging rights because we believe in stocking products we actually like. If you do not see something on our site, either the supplier will not open an account with us, we do not rate the product or we simply have not spotted it yet. With that thrilling mystery covered, let’s get into the Staff Picks for November.
Tee’s Pick: Snowpeak AP900 Tactical Regulated PCP Air Rifle
Suspicious, right. We only mentioned five minutes ago that the AP900 has become one of our fastest-selling rifles ever. Tee chose it anyway, possibly to stop Craig choosing it after he already bought one for himself.
The finish is a little rough for the purests, but the performance-to-price ratio is ridiculous. You get a foldable chassis, a side lever, Picatinny rails and specs you would normally expect from a £1200 rifle.
This thing has become the unofficial entry-level hero of the mountain shooting trend. Compact, accurate, sturdy and practical. Tee might actually have taste. Who knew.
Craig’s Pick: Snowpeak PR900S Gen 3 Synthetic Regulated PCP Air Rifle
After moping around because Tee hijacked his original pick, Craig defaulted to the new PR900 Gen 3. Reasonably so.
The previous generation of this platform sold in epic quantities under various names like the PR900, XM1 and CP2. The Gen 3 is a serious upgrade for only a tiny bump in cost. You get a better mag system, higher shot count, an improved stock and a half inch UNF threaded muzzle with a silencer. Expect this one to explode in popularity once people realise how much they get for the money.
Karl’s Pick: Crosman R1 BLACK Semi Auto CO2 BB Rifle
Karl has gone full tacticool with his pick. The Crosman R1 is the more realistic sibling of the SBR. It uses a sliding buffer tube stock, a Picatinny quad rail and a tough Taiwanese made nylon fiber body.
The muzzle is removable too, which lets you fit compatible M14 CCW silencers. The stock and grip can be swapped for AR-compatible ones, so personalisation fans will have a field day.
Karl recommends pairing it with the Paragon 4x24 Prismatic for maximum visual swagger and performance.
Luke’s Pick: Weihrauch HW100X Launch Edition Laminate Sporter PCP Air Rifle
Look, this one is not technically here yet, but Luke picked it anyway, and honestly, you cannot blame him. He used to own a HW97 and HW98, so he already has a soft spot for Weihrauch rifles. The old HW100 was fantastic, but the weight occasionally made people question their life choices.
The new HW100X fixes the weight issue, boosts the shot count and throws in modern features like actual M-Lok slots integrated into the stock. Weihrauch went from no rail choices straight to a full modern platform. Luke is impressed and is claiming this one early.
Final thoughts — Budget beasts, Tactical Replicas and a Reinvented Icon
November is a hell-scape in the office, thanks to Black Friday, full of the team slowly going mad. But we will always find time (eventually) to name what we like, even if some of our staff are now voting tactically.
Which Staff Pick would you happily bring home, or are you mentally shopping for something completely different? Drop your thoughts in the comments and let us know which one you would pick and why. Bragging rights are free.
