BuckRail MOD Stock Folding Stock Adapter for R-1 Stock

The BuckRail MOD Stock Folding Stock Adapter is one of the most requested additions since we introduced BuckRail to the UK market. Designed specifically for the BuckRail MOD Stock (R-1), it adds a left-folding function without requiring you to replace the stock itself.
 
The adapter fits between the R-1 stock clamp and stock body, allowing the stock to fold to the left-hand side of the rifle. This makes the R-1 considerably more compact for storage and transport, while retaining the same BuckRail MOD Stock once the stock is folded back into its normal position.
 
The adapter can be used with the standalone BuckRail R-1 stock or as part of the BuckRail DRS Tactical Stock configuration, including the R-1 fitted to the FX DRS Tactical.
 
A locking button secures the stock in the open position during normal use. To fold the stock, simply press the button and rotate the stock to the left. There is no locking position when folded, so the stock is free to move once folded and should be considered a storage or transport position rather than a secondary shooting position.
 
Because the stock folds to the left, you should also check the clearance around your particular rifle. Depending on the configuration, the folded stock may come into contact with gauges, cocking arms or other controls positioned on the left-hand side of the gun.
 
The adapter includes a dedicated set of screws for installation. These screws must be used instead of the original stock screws. The supplied screws account for the additional thickness of the folding adapter, and using the existing screws can result in damage to the rifle or stock assembly.
 
Fitting the adapter also increases the overall length of pull by approximately 50 mm, so this should be taken into consideration before installation.
 
Installation is relatively straightforward but is not a job for a blunt instrument and a bad attitude. A reasonable level of mechanical competence, some mechanical sympathy and a suitable hex key/tool set are required. Take your time during installation and do not force components or fasteners.

Important Installation Notes
Use only the screws supplied with the folding adapter.
Do not reuse the original R-1 stock screws, as the incorrect screw length can cause damage.
The stock does not lock in the folded position.
Check clearance around gauges, cocking arms and other controls on the left side of your rifle.
Fitting the adapter increases length of pull by approximately 50 mm.
Installation requires a suitable hex tool set and a reasonable level of mechanical competence.
Do not force screws or components during installation.
