Build & Design
Constructed from laser-fused Nylon 12, the stock keeps weight down while still being durable enough for regular use. One of the more sensible design choices is the use of metal inserts for all threaded components, avoiding the usual long-term issues you can get with polymer threads wearing out.
 
The cam lever system on the 1913 mount makes fitting and removal quick and straightforward, with no tools required. The modular rear section also allows you to swap adapters depending on your rifle’s mounting setup.
 
Optional Folding Stock Adapter
The BuckRail MOD Stock Folding Stock Adapter is available separately for customers who want a folding R-1 configuration.
 
The adapter fits between the R-1 stock body and mounting clamp and allows the stock to fold to the left-hand side of the rifle. A locking button secures the stock in the open position and must be pressed before the stock can be folded.
 
There is no locking position when the stock is folded, so the folded stock can move freely. Depending on the rifle configuration, the stock may also come into contact with gauges, cocking arms or other controls located on the left-hand side of the rifle.
 
Fitting the folding adapter increases the length of pull by approximately 50 mm. The adapter is supplied with its own dedicated screws, which must be used instead of the original stock screws. Using the incorrect screws can cause damage to the rifle or stock assembly.
 
Installation requires a suitable hex tool set and a reasonable level of mechanical competence and mechanical sympathy.
 
Folding Stock Adapter sold separately. It is not included with the standard R-1 MOD Stock.
