MTM Gun Vice and Maintenance Stand

SKU MTGV
Price

£59.00

Gun maintenance is the thing that unites everything from shotguns and rimfire guns air airguns and airsoft. At some point, you are going to need to carry out maintenance, repairs or at the very least cleaning. So why not have a maintenance centre that doubles as a quick and easy way to zero your gun?!

No more wasting ammunition or time simply clamp your gun into the vice and secure the vice to something solid, place a target at a set distance away (that you know it will hit). Fire and then move your scopes reticule to the impact point. Then move the target further out and repeat until you are happy with the distance you have zeroed at.

The MTM Gun Vise features a fast, single adjustment clamp down and a secure non-marring hold.

The gun forks are positioned high and low giving the option of a level clamp up for maintenance, or a sloped clamp up for drainage.

Shotgun barrels are held securely for easy cleaning.

Organize your cleaning supplies with the 14 separate compartments, including a small divided tray that slides to uncover more compartments in the base for smaller, easy-to-lose items.

Eleven screwdriver bit holders, moulded to the unit, are as easily suited for jags and brushes as they are bits.

If you pay close attention to the details, there is a place provided (low and out of the way) for holding two cleaning rods. No more trying to figure out where to rest your rod while making adjustments. Made of rugged, chemical and solvent-resistant polypropylene plastic, the MTM Gun Vise is made to last!

    Expensive but sturdy

I wanted a gun rest/stand to zero my scope with. As I haven't shot an air rifle for 40 years I didn't trust my aim to do it unassisted.

After reading many reviews I bought this despite the hefty price for a bit of plastic.

It's well made to be fair. Sturdy but not too heavy, and the uprights are just the right distance apart for my air rifle.

The only downside is that it doesn't fit back in the box when assembled, so I'm having to store it in a plastic bag.

    Overall 8/10

Hi Sam, thanks for the honest review! We totally get where you're coming from—at first glance, it feels pricey for “just a bit of plastic,” but once you use it, the value becomes clearer. Compared to the metal equivalents that can cost hundreds, this is a solid and sensible investment. We use them ourselves when one-shot zeroing test rifles.

And yes… we agree—it’s a mystery why it doesn’t just go back in the box once assembled. Hopefully someone at MTM is taking notes!

    MTM gun vice

Excellent piece of kit, that extra pair of hands you always need when working on any rifle!

Vice grips and holds very steady with little effort, compartments are very handy for holding screws and other small stuff.

Perfect workmate at a very competitive price!

    Hi Mark,

Glad to hear you appreciate the MTM vice as much as we do—it really is like having that extra pair of hands when you need it most.

Pro tip: you can even use it for a quick one-shot zero. Just set up a large enough target, clamp the rifle and optic securely, take the shot, then adjust your reticle to match the hole—job done. Just be sure not to bump the setup between the shot and adjustment!

    Thanks again for the review!
