The Snowpeak PR900S has long been one of the best-value entry-level PCP air rifles around, offering features and shooting potential that punch well above its price bracket. With the newer PR900 Gen 3 now available, the Gen 2 is on special supplier clearance, making an already affordable PCP an even more tempting option.

Available in .22 only at this clearance price, the PR900S Gen 2 is lightweight, compact and regulated, making it a sensible choice for anyone wanting to get into PCP shooting without spending a fortune.

Lightweight Without Feeling Flimsy

Weighing just 2.4kg, the PR900S is easy to carry and handle, particularly over longer shooting sessions. Its short 360mm length of pull also makes it a comfortable option for smaller-framed shooters and juniors who may find a full-sized rifle cumbersome.

Despite the low weight, the dense synthetic stock doesn't feel flimsy. It gives the rifle a reassuring feel in the hands and helps balance the overall package without adding unnecessary bulk.

Regulated PCP Performance

The PR900S Gen 2 features a regulated air system, helping provide more consistent shot performance across its useful fill range. Combined with the 480mm barrel and self-indexing multi-shot magazine, it offers a practical setup for target shooting and suitable pest control.

The 100cc air cylinder operates at a maximum fill pressure of 200bar, delivering approximately 50 shots per fill. A bolt-action mechanism keeps operation straightforward, while the included single-shot tray provides an alternative to the magazine.

The rifle also comes with a silencer fitted to its M10 threaded muzzle, so you don't need to start shopping for one straight away.

Who Is It For?

At this clearance price, the PR900S Gen 2 makes a particularly strong case for itself as a first PCP. It's also worth considering for juniors who need a lightweight rifle, or landowners looking for an affordable option for suitable pest control.

Its regulated action and compact dimensions make it a capable little package for the money. It won't offer the air capacity, adjustability or refinement of more expensive PCPs, but that's rather the point. You get a regulated, multi-shot rifle with a fitted silencer at a price that makes getting started considerably less expensive.

With the Gen 3 now taking over, this is an opportunity to pick up the older model while clearance stock lasts.

Accessories: Only moderators (silencers) require registration by dealers.

Legal Requirements for Transfer:

In-Person Transfer: It is an offence under the VCRA to transfer these restricted items through standard postal systems or to the end customer directly without the presence of both the buyer and either the seller or a representative of the seller.
