Fast aiming doesn't need to be expensive.

The VictOptics SPX Reflex Sight is an excellent choice for many PCP air rifles, CO₂ airguns and target rifles fitted with standard dovetail 11mm rails.

Its compact 17x23mm viewing window gives a clear, unobstructed sight picture while the crisp 3.5 MOA red dot offers fast aiming for plinking, informal target shooting and close-range pest control where legal. Six brightness settings allow the dot to remain visible in a wide range of lighting conditions.

Manufactured from lightweight 6061-T6 aluminium and fitted with a multi-coated lens, the SPX keeps weight to a minimum while remaining durable enough for regular use.

Please note: This sight is intended for low-recoil airguns and airsoft replicas only. It is not suitable for spring-powered air rifles or blowback airguns.

Disclaimer for Dovetail Scope Mounts: Compatibility Alert

Dovetail mounts are crafted to offer broad compatibility with most dovetail rails. However, it's essential to note exceptions in rail dimensions used by specific gun manufacturers.

Manufacturers like BSA and GAMO employ a 13mm dovetail rail (measured at 13.5mm), while FX and Walther utilize a 9.5mm dovetail rail. These dimensions differ from the standard 11mm dovetail scope mounts.

Fitting standard dovetail mounts onto oversized dovetail rails may lead to incorrect gun/mount/scope alignment. On the other hand, fitting them onto undersized rails could result in sliding or rocking when installed.

For firearms featuring these over/under-sized dovetail rails, Vector Air recommends either utilizing equal pull mounts like BKL or considering the conversion to the modern and standardized Picatinny RIS (Rail Integration System). Ensuring proper compatibility guarantees an optimal shooting experience.
Disclaimer: Proper Use of Scope Mounts on Recoiling Guns

Before using scope mounts on recoiling guns, such as spring/gas ram air rifles, rim/centerfire guns, and blowback airguns, please read and understand the following disclaimer:

Creep Risk: The use of dovetail mounts on recoiling guns may result in creep due to the absence of anti-recoil locking pins. Creep is the gradual movement of the mounts along the gun's rail during recoil.

Recommendation: It is strongly recommended to use recoil arrester blocks or recoil stoppers to mitigate the risk of mount creep. The Vector Optics Riflescope Recoil Stopper (SCOT-05) is one such product that can help stabilize your scope mounts.

Alternative Solution: An alternative solution to prevent mount creep is to convert your dovetail rails to Picatinny rails. Picatinny rails offer a more secure attachment and eliminate the need for recoil pins and arrester blocks.

Adapter Rails: You can find dovetail-to-Picatinny rail conversion adapters, such as the Eagle Vision Dovetail to Picatinny RIS Conversion Rails. These adapters provide a stable platform for your scope mounts, reducing the risk of movement during recoil.

User Responsibility: It is the user's responsibility to ensure that the chosen mounting solution is appropriate for the specific firearm and shooting application. Improper use may lead to damage to equipment, decreased accuracy, or potential safety hazards.

Consultation: If you have any doubts or concerns regarding the compatibility of your chosen scope mounts with your firearm, consult with a qualified gunsmith or a knowledgeable professional in the field.

Disclaimer Acceptance: By using dovetail mounts on recoiling guns, the user acknowledges the potential risks and accepts full responsibility for the choice of mounting solution and any consequences that may arise from its use.

Remember, safety should always be a top priority when using firearms and related accessories.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for the review — glad the VictOptics SPX is working so well for your Mito S. It’s a brilliant little budget red dot: compact, easy to fit, and the dot-size options make it useful in both pistol and carbine setups.

We like these because they’re a proper entry point into reflex sights — far quicker on target than old iron sights, and a better pistol option than those tiny pistol scopes that try and fail to do the job.
