May Staff Picks: From Tactical Toys to Long-Range Tools

Following on from last month's mixed bag, May continues to show us that the products arriving at Vector Air are anything but predictable. It's not all “target rifles” and “new scopes” every time. This month's picks range from high-quality, long-range optics to pest-control-friendly prismatics—and on the airgun side, we’ve got a new entry-level performer and a tactical plate-shooting powerhouse.
Here’s what caught our staff’s attention this month:
Craig's Pick: DNT TheOne 7-35x56 FFP Scope
"Before anyone starts twitching and says, ‘They must not have anything new from Vector Optics,’ let us stop you right there..."
Contrary to popular belief, our staff picks aren’t scripted. If you see a product at full price on our site, it's likely because we genuinely rate it. The DNT “TheOne” is a perfect example of that.
Craig chose this scope because it sits in a real sweet spot. With a 34mm tube and first focal plane etched reticle, it covers a massive range—from 25 yards all the way to however far your gun can reach. It's ideal for long-range work, but still versatile enough for closer-range shooting. It's not quite the mythical “one scope to do it all” (leave that to the MARCH Genesis), but for a fraction of the price, it gets surprisingly close.
Tee's Pick: Immersive Optics Pro 5x30 Prismatic Scope
Tee’s got a thing for Immersive Optics—and this Pro model has piqued everyone’s interest. Unlike traditional scopes, prismatics like the 5x30 Pro offer a massive field of view and enhanced image quality, even in low light.
The “Pro” upgrade brings one key improvement: longer eye relief. That means this version can now be used on recoiling rifles—opening the door for use on springers and firearms, not just PCPs. Small, clear, and tough. A solid choice for pest control, ratting, or compact rigs.
Karl's Pick: EPIC TWO LITE 300 Alu PCP Air Rifle
Lightweight. Modular. Affordable (ish). Still EPIC.
The EPIC TWO LITE strips back the folding-stock flash of the original and delivers pure function at a friendlier price. It's nimble, accurate, and—according to Karl—performs beautifully straight out of the box at sub-16J without any tweaking.
It’s serious tech without the ego, and in Karl’s view, it's now a genuine competitor to rifles like the AGT VIXEN. Just… don’t tell AGT.
Luke’s Pick: T4E TC68 CO2 Paintball Marker by UMAREX

If it’s customisable, tactical, or even just a bit mad—Luke’s probably already using it.
The T4E TC68 may not be the most accurate gun in the world, but that’s not the point. This CO2-powered, magazine-fed beast shoots .68 calibre rubber balls or Safe Spring-Mag paintballs—and looks incredible doing it. Top rail for red dots? M-LOK for torches and grips? Yes and yes.
Luke recommends pairing it with the Vector Optics Scrapper and a magnifier for full tacticool status. He may not be playing paintball anytime soon (airsoft loyalty and all that), but for close-range plates or just plain fun, the TC68 delivers big grins per shot.
Final Thoughts
Got a favourite? Seen something else that should’ve made the list? Let us know on socials—or better yet, swing by the shop in Nottinghamshire and see what you’d pick. We’ll be doing this again in June, and the shortlist’s already looking spicy…
