A Backstop With Zero Interest in Being Polite

The APOLLO Heavy Duty Shooting Gallery and Target Holder is what happens when someone finally admits most backstops are basically tin cans pretending to be safety equipment. This one isn’t. With 2.5 mm steel walls and a 3 mm anti recoil energy panel, it shrugs off the sort of punishment that turns budget catch boxes into modern art. It’s built for shooters who need real containment and who don’t mind their kit being the heaviest thing in the room. Rated for .17 rimfire rifles out to around 75 metres and handling energies up to roughly 100 joules, it steps into a space most commercially sold catch boxes politely avoid.

The large footprint and sheer mass mean it can sit on the floor without you bolting it down, and the 300 by 300 mm opening gives you enough room for paper targets, knockdown setups or the included gallery system. It’s very much a “set it up and leave it there” unit. And while the finish isn’t boutique, it’s built to do a job most lighter options won’t survive.
