The Remington T-Rex Wood Sporter takes the same straightforward, budget-focused PCP action as the synthetic version and adds a traditional wooden sporter stock.

This is still very much a no-frills PCP. Snowpeak has kept the specification focused on the fundamentals rather than loading the rifle with expensive extras. You get a regulated action, 230cc air cylinder, 250 bar maximum fill pressure, multi-shot operation and useful Picatinny mounting points.

The regulator helps provide more consistent performance through the usable portion of the air charge and can improve the shot count compared with similarly sized unregulated PCP rifles.

The 230cc cylinder fills to 250 bar and provides approximately 100 shots per fill, with actual shot count dependent on calibre, power and shooting conditions.

Simple, Practical Action

The T-Rex uses a semi-straight-pull side-lever action that can be configured for left- or right-handed operation. A self-indexing magazine provides multi-shot operation, while the included single-shot tray gives you the option of loading individual pellets.

The rifle has approximately 145mm of Picatinny optics rail, with a 16mm section omitted around the magazine well. A lower Picatinny rail provides a mounting point for a bipod or other compatible accessory.

It also comes with an integral silencer and fibre-optic iron sights, which is a useful combination on a rifle at this price.

A basic 3-9x40 scope is included, although we'd regard this as a free extra rather than a key component of the rifle. The T-Rex itself is the important part of the package.

Traditional Wooden Stock

Where this version differs from the synthetic model is the stock. The wooden sporter stock gives the rifle a more traditional appearance and feel while retaining the same straightforward PCP action underneath.

At 3.25kg, it is only slightly heavier than the synthetic version, while the 370mm length of pull gives it a slightly longer overall stock dimension.

This is a good option if you want the simplicity and affordability of the T-Rex platform but would rather have a conventional wooden sporter rifle in your hands.
