The product was well made but the grub screw hole could have been a bit further down the barrel to make it more stable

Thanks for the review — glad the adapter’s quality hit the mark. We rate these Snowpeak adapters for their tidy machining and solid fit on M10 threads (great little bit of kit for PR900/CP2 owners).

Sorry, the grub‑screw position didn’t give the stability you expected — that’s a fair niggle. They do design the hole position for certain barrel profiles, where there is a flat spot, I imagine. It's not really necessary, though, as a firm twist will lock it in place on normal threads

Regarding the fitment, this adapter is designed specifically for the models listed on the product page. While it is an M10 thread, there are several M10 variants. This adapter is M10x1.0 and will not fit M10x1.5 or M10x2.0, even though the diameter measures the same at 10mm. It’s an easy one to get caught out by.

If you can email us again and let us know exactly which rifle you were fitting it to, we’ll be happy to help confirm compatibility or work out the best solution for you. We’d much rather get you sorted than leave things hanging like this.
