FFP vs. SFP Scopes
Choosing between First Focal Plane (FFP) and Second Focal Plane (SFP) comes down to your shooting distance and holdover preference:
-
First Focal Plane (FFP): As you zoom in, the reticle grows proportionally. This means your Mil-Dot or MRAD holdover points remain 100% accurate at any magnification level—essential for long or varying range shooting
-
Second Focal Plane (SFP): The reticle stays the same visual size regardless of zoom. Preferred by shooters who want an easy-to-see reticle.
-
LPVO Scopes (1-4x / 1-6x): Low Power Variable Optics for rapid target acquisition in close-range field conditions. Ideal for pest control and Airsoft
