FX DRS Mk2 Compact Walnut PCP Air Rifle

The FX DRS Mk2 Compact Walnut combines traditional rifle aesthetics with some of the most modern PCP technology currently available. Designed for shooters who appreciate the look and feel of a classic sporting rifle but demand modern performance, the DRS Mk2 Walnut delivers exactly that balance.

At the heart of the rifle is FX's innovative Air Pressure Barrel (APB) system. Rather than using a conventional air cylinder mounted beneath the barrel, the air reservoir wraps around it. This creates an exceptionally slim profile that feels remarkably similar to a traditional centrefire or rimfire sporter while also improving barrel rigidity and overall handling.

The Mk2 platform introduces several significant upgrades over the original DRS. The side lever action has been refined for a smoother, more polished shooting experience, while the renowned FX interchangeable liner system can now be accessed without needing to degas the rifle first. For shooters who like experimenting with different setups, it makes maintenance and upgrades far simpler.

Another welcome improvement is the move to a full Picatinny optics rail. Previous DRS models relied on a dovetail system that many shooters immediately replaced. FX has clearly listened, and every DRS Mk2 now arrives with a 30 MOA Picatinny rail fitted as standard. This gives greater flexibility for scope mounting and provides additional elevation adjustment for longer-range shooting applications.

This Compact version carries the same barrel length as the original DRS Standard. If you enjoyed the handling characteristics of the first-generation Standard, this is effectively its direct replacement. Combined with the beautiful walnut stock, the result is a rifle that feels equally at home on the range, in the field, or resting proudly in the cabinet between shooting sessions.

The walnut stock provides a warmth and character that synthetic stocks simply cannot replicate. It appeals to shooters who still appreciate traditional rifle craftsmanship while benefiting from all the technology hidden beneath the surface.

Effective Compliance with the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006 (VCRA): Sections 31 and 32

Under the provisions of Sections 31 and 32 of the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006, which were enacted through "The Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006 (Commencement No 3) Order 2007: firearms measures," specific regulations now apply to air weapons, their Pressure-Bearing component parts, and certain accessories.

    Key Points to Note:

    Restricted Items:

    • Airguns: All airguns are classified as restricted items.
    • Pressure-Bearing Parts of Airguns: This includes barrels, cylinders, reservoirs, and pistons.
    • Functional Moderators (Silencers/Suppressors): Moderators that reduce the sound of discharge are also classified as restricted items.

    Definition and Registration:

    • Component Parts: While the VCRA does not explicitly define "component parts," the Home Office interprets this to include pressure-bearing parts such as barrels, cylinders, reservoirs, and pistons.
    • Accessories: Only moderators (silencers) require registration by dealers.

    Legal Requirements for Transfer:

    • In-Person Transfer: It is an offence under the VCRA to transfer these restricted items through standard postal systems or to the end customer directly without the presence of both the buyer and either the seller or a representative of the seller.
    • Representatives of the Seller: This can be:
    1. An employee of the seller who is a registered firearms dealer (RFD).
    2. Another RFD authorized by the seller.
    3. An employee of the authorized RFD.

    Collection and Delivery Options:

    • Collection from Store: Customers are encouraged to collect their restricted items directly from the store where purchased.
    • Transfer to Another RFD: Items can be transferred to a local RFD for collection, though the receiving RFD may charge a fee for this service.
    • Home Delivery: We offer home delivery through our in-house team to some areas of the UK. However, please note that this service has location restrictions and incurs higher costs due to the need for dedicated transport, making it more expensive than a standard RFD transfer.

  • Hey there, shooter! So, you're eyeing our collection of wooden/ laminate gun stocks, huh? Well, before you lock and load, let's lay down some ground rules.

These gun stocks are crafted from natural materials like various wood species and laminate wood. Each piece is a unique creation, like a fingerprint. While we try our best to capture their essence in our pictures, there's a chance the real deal might differ slightly in colour, style, or design. Nature's quirky like that.

Now, if you're the kind who prefers their ducks in a row, synthetic stocks might be more your speed. But if you're ready to embrace the unpredictable beauty of Mother Nature, then welcome aboard!

If you receive your gun stock and it's not quite what you had in mind, you can send it back. But here's the kicker: you'll foot the bill for the return shipping, and we'll only refund you for the product itself. Sorry, but paid shipping costs are like stubborn knots – they ain't budgin'!

And hey, while we're on the topic, if your stock has been damaged or altered (we'll know, trust us), you won't be getting a full refund. We're all about fair play here.

So, before you pull the trigger on your purchase, remember: each stock is a one-of-a-kind creation, a testament to nature's artistry. We're just here to provide the canvas for your shooting masterpiece! Happy shooting!
