The Helle Gro is a medium-sized fixed-blade knife designed for a variety of outdoor tasks, from preparing food at camp to gathering and preparing wood for the fire. It combines a compact footprint with a substantial handle, making it comfortable to use without becoming unnecessarily bulky.
The 93mm drop point blade is made from Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel, a popular knife steel that offers good edge retention, is relatively easy to sharpen and provides useful corrosion resistance for outdoor use.
Traditional Scandinavian Design
The Gro follows Helle's traditional Scandinavian approach, with a straightforward Scandi grind and stick tang construction.
The 3.1mm thick blade provides a good balance between cutting performance and rigidity, while the drop point profile makes it a versatile shape for general outdoor tasks.
The handle is made from dark-coloured birch and has been shaped to comfortably fill the palm. A pronounced finger guard provides additional protection and helps keep the hand securely positioned during use.
Genuine Leather Sheath
The Gro comes supplied with a natural-coloured genuine leather sheath, providing a practical way to carry and store the knife when not in use.
